At the National Women’s Show, we do our best to incorporate a diverse blend of larger, established brands with small, local businesses. One of the things that make our events so special is the vast amount of Canadian brands that exhibit on our show floors.

We love to encourage our attendees to shop locally and browse the diverse selection of quality products from our Canadian vendors. In honour of this, we have curated a list of a few Canadian brands that should be on your shopping radar. These companies will be making appearances at one or more of the National Women’s Show events this fall, so keep an eye out!

1. Soup Girl

Who doesn’t love a good soup?  Combining her passions for healthy eating and food sustainability, Jennifer Clark, a.k.a Soup Girl, developed her dry soup mixes with the aim of creating healthy, delicious, vegetarian foods that are suitable for busy lifestyles.

These soups are fantastic because they are delicious and super easy to make! The soups are available in a variety of flavours and are filled with organic dried peas, lentils and grains – a great source of non-animal protein.  All you have to do is combine the mixture with the specified amount of water and cook for one hour.  The soups come packaged in adorable, reusable mason jars as well as portable packages that are great for travel.

2. Chez Bottine

This company from Chambly, Quebec offers fresh loose leaf teas without any added sugars or artificial flavors.  Chez Bottine was created for those with the desire to find a beverage alternative that is as tasty as it is natural.  The brand offers a wide variety of deliciously flavoured herbal tea, white tea, black tea, green tea, rooibos, maté as well as matcha.  For a refreshing and fruity beverage, we recommend the Pêche Paradisiaque blend of herbal tea.

One of the most wonderful things about Chez Bottine is its beautiful shop.  Their website is set up for online orders, however we highly recommend checking out the store location should you find yourself in Chambly, Quebec.  They frequently have freshly brewed hot and iced tea for sampling and the simple décor is totally Instagram worthy!

3. Elabloom

Made and manufactured in Canada, Elabloom is a 100% locally operated company that provides essential oils and aromatherapy products. The company was created by husband and wife wellness enthusiasts, Jane and Brendan, who were determined to cultivate products that are good for the soul and feed the mind with positivity. They do this by never using harmful chemicals or agents in any of their products.  All of their products are ethically sourced, which means you can feel great about purchasing.

In addition to essential oils, Elabloom also offers facial, body and hair care products. They also offer a unique range of jewellery and car diffusers so that you can reap the benefits of your favourite essential oils on the go.

4. Cottage Cloth

Toronto based brand, Cottage Cloth, describes itself as a purveyor of hand printed organic cotton for your home décor and soul. The brand has a wide offering of simplistic cotton canvas throw pillows, tea towels, totes, aprons and more. Browsing their collection you will see that these items are adorned with unique and tasteful designs that have been hand stamped by their creator. Kailey, the artist and founder behind the brand, actually carves the stamps herself to match her vision for these pieces.

5. Sweet Cheeks Kitchen

With so many food allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences these days, it’s almost impossible to find decadent treats that may be enjoyed by all.  Sharon and Kristen Lloyd are the mother and daughter duo behind Sweet Cheeks kitchen; a dedicated gluten free, dairy free, vegan kitchen.  Their mission is to provide high quality, delicious products that are free from common allergens for everyone to enjoy.

Sweet Cheek Kitchen produces a delicious variety of sweet and savoury treats, although their cupcakes are an obvious favourite. Unfortunately, you can only find their products in select cafés and grocers in the Ottawa area. However, they are willing to do custom orders through their website.

6. LNBF

Based in Toronto, LNBF was started in 2007 by a passionate team whose aim was to combine flattering and timeless silhouettes with environmentally conscious and luxurious fabrics like viscose from bamboo, Tencel, and organic cotton. Whether at the gym, running errands or rushing your kids to school in the morning, LBNF designs clothes to suit a busy lifestyle.

We love LNBF because of their ethically sourced materials and their timeless designs.  A lot of their pieces are great basics that can carry over from season to season without going off trend. So basically, you can feel good about shopping their collections because they will last you!

7. Undercarriage

It’s not a secret that many deodorants have harmful chemicals in them but if you have ever tried finding the perfect, all natural deodorant, you know that it can often be a challenge.  With that challenge in mind, Undercarriage was created! These products are for anyone that sweats or wants to smell fresher. It won’t prevent you from sweating, but it will help you feel drier.  The best part? They are safe to use under the arms, under the breasts and even “down there”, as the brand claims. All Undercarriage products are handmade in Ottawa, Ontario but may be ordered online from Canada and the US.

The above are only a few of the brands that you can find at the National Women’s Show events in Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City.  Our shows provide a venue to hundreds of vendors each year, delivering a diverse shopping experience to our attendees.  Exhibitors vary by city.
